Dynamic Duos Rules

  1. Basics

    1. Tournament takes place on Sunday, March 15, 2026.
    2. Location is Plano Super Bowl, 2521 K Ave, Plano, TX 75074, 972-881-0242
    3. Check in at 9am, bowling at 10am.
    4. Doubles tournament, MAX COMBINED AVERAGE 440 (no cap with a female on team).

  2. Format

    1. Lots of... Brackets, Sng High Pot, Dbls High Pot, Raffles.
    2. Qualifying: Bowl 4 regular games across 8 lanes. Top 1/3rd of field qualifies for semis based on total pins. Oil Pattern: House/Recreation level.
    3. Semis: Bowl 5 Baker Matchplay round robin games based on power seeding from qualifying. With a full field, 20 teams qualify for semis. Top 5 teams bowl matches against bottom 5 teams, teams qualifying 6-10 bowl teams qualifying 11-15. Match winners receive 30 bonus pins (15 for tie). Total pins from semis (including bonus) will determine standings and qualifiers for Finals. Pay 1-in-5 entries.
    4. Finals: Top 4 teams bowl Baker Stepladder Final (single game matches).

  3. Averages and Handicap

    1. Handicap 85% of 440 in qualifying, semis and finals is half the qualifying handicap per game.
    2. Handicap for individual brackets is 85% of 225. Avg based on higher of 2024/25 Standard Composite Book or PSB Tourn Avg. Curr avg, or prior book avgs can be considered.
    3. Director reserves the right to re-rate prior to start of the event.

  4. Registration

    1. Sign up via email to BIGDCLASSIC1@GMAIL.COM.
    2. Must have one bowler paid to hold your spot. Preferred payment method is Zelle (Pmt id: BIGDCLASSIC1@GMAIL.COM). Other options: Venmo (@Randall-Buda) or Cashapp ($JAEAGLE1977). Cash only is accepted at tournament check in on Sunday.
    3. Tournament limited to 60 teams.

  5. Fees and Prizes

    1. Entry fee is $100 per bowler, $200 per team.

    2. Cash or credit card accepted (no fee).

    3. Pay ratio 1-in-5 entries.

    4. Prize fund with full field (by place):

      1st: $1,800 | 5th: $660 | 8th: $380

      2nd: $1,400 | 6th: $580 | 10th: $320

      3rd: $1,000 | 7th: $500 | 11th: $280

      4th: $800 | 8th: $440 | 12th: $240

    5. Breakdown: $70 Prize Fund, $20 Lineage & Expenses, $10 Big D Classic Donation.
